Principal Richardson Announces Her Retirement After 17 Years of Service
Mrs. Marilyn "Sis" Richardson, our beloved principal for the past 17 years, has announced her retirement from St. Michael Parish School effective June 2012.In an excerpt from her letter to school families released earlier this month, Mrs. Richardson writes, "It is with great sadness but great joy that I announce my retirement at the end of this academic school year." She continues, "St. Michael Parish School has been a true blessing in my life and has afforded me the opportunity to use the gifts and talents the Lord has given me to serve both you and your children over the past seventeen years...I will forever cherish the memories I take from our wonderful school!"
In her letter, Mrs. Richardson also announces her successor -- Mr. Lee Gruber, the assistant principal since 2009. "Lee is a remarkable man who loves and respects our students and is committed to being the new academic and spiritual leader of our school."
